Tackling The Blues

An engaging identity to help tackle the blues

THE STORY

We were approached by Edge Hill University who were starting a new project with Everton Football Club. Tackling The Blues is a mental health awareness programme targeting young people aged 6-16 who are experiencing, or are at risk of, developing mental illness.

They wanted a meaningful brand that represented what they were trying to do, but also appealed to the children they were helping.

HOW IT WENT

The project is supported by Everton FC, Edge Hill University and The Premier League so the brand needed to work in conjunction with these organisations.

Everton’s famous blue was used to help give the project weight and recognition whilst creating a logo mark that encapsulated the message they wanted to portray.

A set of characters and visuals were created to help engage with a range of ages.

The project is regularly guided by Everton first team players as well as a guest appearance from HRH Prince William.
