THE STORY
The Cheshire Knife Company launched in 2021 to offer really high quality knives at affordable prices for professionals and enthusiasts alike.
They needed a brand that stood out and exuded quality and experience. The identity had to be adaptable for various uses in different places.
DEVELOPMENT
The origins of branding started with the Cheshire coat of arms which featured a trio of wheat sheaves, 2 rampant lions holding ostrich feathers and a sword as well as the motto; ‘JURE ET DIGNITATE GLADII’ – By the right and dignity of the Sword.
In the CKC version; hand-drawn, traditional lions holding swords become the focal points whilst retaining the 3 sheaves and the motto that fits the company so well.
3 variations have been created for the brand to be used in different situations; the full crest, the shield and the type banner.
